For The Record News
For the Record Newspaper is a youth oriented newspaper that teaches youth creative writing, graphic design and photography while building the comprehension skills necessary to succeed in their education.

Youth become drawn to the newspaper because they create the content and design of the newspaper. Literacy and language arts skills are acquired as students learn about composition, form, and editing during the process of producing an issue of the paper. In addition each youth writer is paired up with an adult mentor who provides guidance throughout the writing process. It encourages reading among area youth, as it is a media outlet created by them and for them.
